Director of IT & Infrastructure

Ian has a wealth of Information and Communication Technology experience gained over 30 years in the profession.  He is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO), a fellow of the British Computer Society, a Federation of Informatics Professionals Leading Practitioner, holds a number of ICT specific qualifications and is a Prince2 certified practitioner.

Ian joined Chesterfield Royal Hospital in December 2002 as Information Systems Manager, progressing through a number of senior roles within the Informatics team before being appointed to Associate Director of ICT & Patient Records in June 2016, leading our ICT, Medical records and Clinical Engineering functions.  Before he joined the NHS he held senior roles in the private sector, where he was the Head of IT for both Sytner Group Limited and Pendragon PLC, the UK’s leading automotive retailers.

In transferring over to the Board of DSFS he is keen to ensure that the company continues to apply technological solutions to solve complex business issues – improving both patient care and staff experience.
