DSFS Celebrates 5-Star Hygiene Rating Across All Food Outlets
Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services (DSFS) is proud to announce that it has once again achieved a 5-star hygiene rating across all retail and catering outlets, following an inspection by an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) from Derbyshire County Council.
The inspection, which took place in August, covered every food-serving area across the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust site and confirmed that each outlet continues to operate at the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.

Kim Beevers, Assistant Director of Facilities, shared her delight: “I’m absolutely thrilled with today’s outcome. Achieving 5 stars in every outlet — especially during an unannounced inspection — is a huge accomplishment and a true reflection of the pride, professionalism and dedication our teams bring to work every single day. This result is not just about meeting standards; it’s about consistently exceeding them.”
Sara Goodwin, Deputy Head of Facilities, also praised the achievement: “This is a fantastic result and a real credit to our teams working across retail and food & drink outlets. Their commitment to delivering safe, high-quality services — day in, day out — is what makes this possible. Thank you to everyone involved for your continued hard work and for living our DSFS values of being responsive, resourceful, respectful, and reliable. You truly demonstrate what it means to work the DSFS Way.”
DSFS extends its sincere thanks to all staff involved in maintaining these high standards. Their hard work, attention to detail and commitment to safe, high-quality service ensures that patients, visitors and colleagues can enjoy food and drink in a clean and trusted environment every day.
