Commercial Director

An experienced strategic and operational leader, Stuart joined the Trust in 2008, spearheading staff-led improvement in his areas and later the Trust.  Since 1994 his career has seen him manage almost 50 different services and a variety of roles in Chesterfield, including Associate Director of Transformation, General Manager for Allied Health, Estates & Facilities, where he set up its retail arm and a range of roles across local health systems and the East Midlands.  He was also instrumental in establishing and leading Royal Primary Care as one of the country’s first Acute Trust operated GP Practice Groups.

Having led the DSFS programme, Stuart transferred over to the Board of DSFS with a passion to explore innovative approaches that will generate or release resources for patient care.  In his current role Stuart oversees the Commercial, Finance, Procurement and Corporate Governance Services.
