DSFS Awarded Gold Star by NHS England for Outstanding Food Data Submissions

Our Food, Drink and Catering colleagues at DSFS are celebrating fantastic news — they’ve been awarded a Gold Star by NHS England in recognition of the quality and consistency of their food data submissions.
Regularly submitting accurate food data provides vital local, regional and national insights. This information helps NHS England plan business cases, target funding, and identify where trusts need support the most. Year after year, the quality of DSFS’ submissions has continued to strengthen, enabling NHS England to make more informed decisions that support the delivery of high‑quality, nutritious, tasty and sustainable meals for both patients and staff.
NHS England has praised the DSFS team for their diligence, accuracy and commitment in submitting data across multiple reporting platforms. DSFS is also among the first sites nationally to receive the Food Data Gold Star — a testament to the dedication and effort that goes into every submission.
Sara Lea Goodwin, Deputy Head of Facilities, said: “We are delighted to be recognised by NHS England, and are grateful to everyone in the team for their fantastic contributions towards this achievement. Well done and thank you for all the effort you make every day for our customers.”
