Tom Lowens
Employee Associate Director
At 17 Tom started work straight from school as an electrical and mechanical maintenance apprentice at an electro plating plant. After working in the role for a number of years redundancy provided an opportunity to move into new ventures.
Over the years Tom worked in various roles including blacksmithing to coffee roasting and eventually found his way back into industry, in roles that included electronic manufacturing and foundryman at United Cast Bar. Tom successfully secured the role of Employee Associate Director (EAD) shortly after becoming Electrical team leader. This additional role, in conjunction with the Electrical Team Leader role, has enabled Tom to continue his goal of making a positive difference around the hospital.
