HSJ Award Recognition for EMAP DDC
We’re proud to share that the East Midlands Acute Providers Digital Design Collaborative (EMAP DDC) has been shortlisted for a national HSJ Award in the Provider Collaboration of the Year category.
EMAP DDC brings together NHS organisations across the East Midlands that use Nervecentre as their Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, enabling them to align priorities and accelerate digital transformation. The partnership includes Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Nottingham University Hospitals, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, Sherwood Forest Hospitals, United Lincolnshire Hospitals, University Hospitals of Leicester, Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital. By working collaboratively throughout their Nervecentre implementations, partner trusts can share learning and develop common solutions that improve patient care and support staff across the region.
The collaborative has delivered significant benefits across the East Midlands, supporting nine successful Nervecentre go-lives. Hosted by DSFS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, EMAP DDC benefits from established NHS infrastructure and specialist expertise, enabling the collaborative to support partner organisations in delivering digital transformation at scale.
Iain O’Neil, EPR Transformation Director for the East Midlands Acute Partnership, said, “Being shortlisted is a brilliant recognition of the teams across our Trusts who have made this collaboration work. We’ve built an approach where people share their expertise, solve problems together and support each other through major change. That means less duplication, better value and a stronger foundation for improving care for patients. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together and even more excited about what comes next.”
Ian Hazel, Director of IT and Infrastructure at DSFS added, “We’re very proud to be part of this HSJ Award nomination. The collaborative demonstrates the value of organisations working together to share knowledge and accelerate digital transformation. As the host organisation, DSFS is pleased to support this regional collaboration, with the benefits of the partnership seen first-hand at Chesterfield Royal Hospital through our successful implementation of Nervecentre.”
Congratulations to everyone involved on this fantastic achievement!
The winner of the HSJ Award will be announced on Thursday 19 November.
